Dining at Fico in East Coast Park feels like a mini-vacation from Singapore. The ambiance instantly takes you back to a summer in Greece, while the food transports you straight to Italy. This restaurant is always packed, so reservations are a must. I had to wait months before I could secure a spot!

We visited Fico around 3 PM, intending for a light merienda, as we had already had lunch. However, the food was so good that our snack turned into a full meal. We started with the Baked Tomino Cheese, which was a perfect kickstart. Warm, gooey, and flavorful, it set the tone for what was to come.

For the kids, we ordered Cacio e Pepe without the pepper. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the creamy cheese sauce was a hit. My daughter loved it so much that she kept asking for it the next day. I opted for the Tagliolini Scampi; it was the best pasta since our trip to Italy. The blend of tomato and flavorful lobster & prawn was perfectly balanced, complementing the pasta beautifully.

We also tried the San Marzano tomatoes focaccia, which was excellent. Its lighter taste balanced perfectly with the rich pastas we had tried.

Another highlight was the Mafaldine Ossobucco. This dish was a combination of soft pasta with a nice crunchy texture from bits of almond nuts.

Because it was sunny, we looked for something cool to round off our meal. What better way than with a refreshing Rosemary Spritz?
